OUR STORY

Finnegans was created out of the belief that there are loads of fun and creative ways to make a difference in a community. So we at Finnegans decided if we sold a great tasting beer (Finnegans Irish Amber) and gave all of our profits to fund community programs assisting those in poverty – we would be doing our bit and just maybe, inspire others to get involved as well. We here at Finnegans believe that it takes a community to create and maintain healthy communities and healthy communities don’t leave folks behind.

Since first becoming profitable in 2003, Finnegans and its sister non-profit company, The Finnegans Community Fund (formerly the Spud Society) has raised and donated over $50,000 back to community programs in Minnesota. We have a lot more beer to sell and many more important programs to fund but we’re on our way and encourage you to join us in doing your bit for your community by:

*Purchasing Finnegans Irish Amber at your favorite liquor store, pub, bar or restaurant – if they don’t have it ask them to order it in!! (click here for a list of where to purchase Finnegans near you!)

*Become one of over 100 Finnegans volunteers! Visit Finnegans Brigade for more information on how to get involved as a volunteer.

*If you are as outrageous as we are – do some research on becoming a social entrepreneur pursuing your own creative and impactful endeavor!

Finnegans and the Finnegans Community Fund do not accept any government or foundation grants of any kind – we are out there doing it for ourselves and so we invite you to join us! Do you have ideas that can help us do more? Bring it on – we would love to hear from you!
