Goodwill Easter Seals
Goodwill Easter Seals has a mission to “assist people with barriers to education, employment and independence in achieving their goals.” In 2009 they helped over 800 people find employment or advance their careers. It was this same year that marked their 90th year of service to the Minnesota community. The Finnegans Community Fund grant supports their transitional employment wages program for males released from prison during the first 90 days.

Sole Providers
The Finnegans Community Fund grant supports their mission of providing people experiencing homelessness with a new pair of shoes or boots.

Steel County Clothes Line
The Finnegans Community Fund grant supports their mission of providing people in need, confronted by crisis or in transition, with clothing and small household items.

Admission Possible
Admission Possible is a non-profit organization with a mission of “helping to make college admission possible for promising, low-income students” which they accomplish by providing ACT and SAT test preparation services and admissions and financial aid counseling. Over 98% of the students they assist have been admitted to college. The Finnegans Community Fund grant sponsored one student in this program.

Casa Guadalupe
Since 1996, this non-profit organization offers residential hospitality and friendship for Latina women and families in crisis using its eight ministry programs. The Finnegans Community Fund grant supports the literacy and job skills training program.

HIRED
Hired is a non-profit multi-purpose workforce development organization that helps disadvantaged people and other job seekers by providing job-skills and employment training. Since its creation in 1968, HIRED has enrolled more than 10,000 persons. The Finnegans Community Fund grant supports the Broadway Culinary Arts programs, which train young mothers on culinary skills and prepare them for entry level cooking and catering positions.

Kinship Partners
Kinship Partners is a non-profit youth mentoring organization serving families in Crow Wing and southern Cass counties of Minnesota by providing positive role models to youth in our communities. The Finnegans Community Fund grant supports the further development of the mentoring program.

YouthCARE
YouthCARE is a non-profit organization that provides multicultural youth development services for Minneapolis and St. Paul youth, ages 7-18 years old. Their mission is to “promote respect for self and others, develop future leaders and provide youth with positive multicultural activities and relationships with caring adults.” The Finnegans Community Fund grant supports the Young Women mentoring program, focused on building self sufficiency and leadership skills for girls in underserved low income communities.

Youth Express
Youth Express is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide you with an outlet to build positive relationships and participate in opportunities that improve their lives, “Potential Meets Opportunity.” The Finnegans Community Fund grant supports their internship program within their social venture, Express Bike Shop.
